§ moving from mosey

Moving from Mosey? Bring everything.

Mosey access for customers not on Gusto payroll ended June 30, 2026. The compliance footprint you built there still matters — move your states, accounts, logins, and mail in under an hour: free, guided, no implementation fee.

§ what moves over

Four things made Mosey home. All four move.

The import is guided end to end — you review each piece as it lands, and nothing is retyped from scratch.

01

States & registrations

Your operating states and each state registration you tracked — requirement type, status, account details, renewal dates — move into Kreto's registration tracker.

02

Account numbers & rates

State tax account numbers, agencies, and assigned rates import into the same records your notices are cross-checked against.

03

Portal logins → the vault

Agency portal credentials go into Kreto's encrypted credential vault. You confirm each login yourself, one at a time, and every later access is audit-logged.

04

Mail redirect, guided

A per-state checklist for redirecting agency mail to your Kreto mailbox address, so notices keep landing in your pipeline. You file each address change with the agency; the checklist tracks what's done — Kreto does not file them for you.

§ what mosey never did

The mail gets answered here.

Mosey kept you registered. Kreto also fights the notice — the letter claiming a penalty you may not owe. Every notice runs the same four steps.

  1. 01

    Classify

The notice is read and classified: agency, notice type, deadline, amount claimed.

  2. 02

    Cross-reference

The agency's claim is checked against your payroll records — what was actually filed and paid.

  3. 03

    Quantify

The discrepancy is quantified in dollars: their number, your number, and the difference.

  4. 04

    Draft the protest

A protest letter is drafted from that evidence for your review. Nothing goes out without your approval.

§ the honest faq

What we do — and what we don't, yet.

How does the guided import actually work?
You sign up, and we walk you through moving each piece: operating states and registrations, tax account numbers and rates, agency portal logins, and a mail-redirect checklist. Bring a Mosey export if you have one, or enter things as you go — the whole move is designed to take under an hour.
What happens to the mail Mosey used to receive?
Redirect it to Kreto. The import ends with a per-state checklist for updating your mailing address with each agency, pointed at your Kreto mailbox — agency mail then lands directly in your notice pipeline. Kreto does not file the address changes for you; the checklist tracks each one as you complete it.
Are you a registered agent?
No. Kreto is not a registered agent and does not offer registered-agent service — keep your current RA. The mail redirect covers tax-agency correspondence, not legal service of process.
Do you file state registrations for me?
We prepare and track them; filing is concierge. When you want a prepared registration filed, a Kreto specialist files it on your behalf for $149 per filing, and you follow its status in your portal. Nothing is filed without your say-so.
Do you do employee handbooks or annual reports?
No. Kreto does not offer handbooks or annual-report filing today. If Mosey's handbook add-on mattered to you, keep a dedicated provider for it — Kreto focuses on registrations, obligations, agency mail, and notice resolution.
Where are you on SOC 2?
A SOC 2 Type II audit is in progress. What is already true and verifiable in the product: credentials sit in an encrypted vault with audit-logged access, and every action on your account is written to an append-only, hash-chained audit log.
What does Kreto cost compared to Mosey?
Flat monthly tiers — Starter $149, Growth $399, Scale $899, Enterprise custom — capped by operating states and employees, with 2 months free on annual billing. Growth is $399 for up to 15 states, the price Mosey charged at the same state cap — and it includes notice resolution. See the pricing page for the full matrix.
Is the import really free? What's the catch?
Free means free: no import fee and no implementation fee — Mosey charged one month's subscription to onboard. You pay only your tier subscription once you decide to stay.

An hour from now, this is behind you.

States, registrations, account numbers, portal logins, and a mail-redirect checklist — moved in one guided pass, free, with no implementation fee. And the next agency notice gets answered, not just filed.
